Roots and Passion for the Outdoors

Growing up surrounded by the pristine wilderness of Oregon, I developed a deep love for the outdoors. Whether it’s enjoying the lush forests, paddle on serene lakes, or stargazing under the clear Lakeview skies, nature has always been my sanctuary. This connection to the land fuels my commitment to bettering our community.

Education and Professional Path

My academic journey began at Central Oregon Community College, where I pursued my passion for Criminal Justice. Simultaneously, I worked as a ski instructor at Mount Bachelor, teaching five-year-olds to conquer the slopes. Those snowy days taught me resilience, patience, and the joy of helping others overcome challenges.

But my entrepreneurial spirit beckoned. I spent nearly a decade managing my father’s office in Bend, Oregon, absorbing invaluable business insights. It was during this time that I realized my true calling lay in healthcare administration.

Passion Meets Purpose

My path led me to the Lake District Hospital in Lake County, Oregon. There, in the revenue cycle management department, I discovered my passion for streamlining processes, optimizing financial workflows, and ensuring healthcare providers receive fair compensation. But when LDH decided to outsource billing overseas, I faced a pivotal choice.

Driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, I took a leap of faith. I founded Harlan Medical Services, a company dedicated to supporting psychiatric behavioral health professionals. Our mission? To empower providers, enhance patient care, and navigate the complex world of revenue cycles.
